Tripura is one of those states mostly in news for conflicts and unrest. This time however fashion took over. A state where there have been no fashion shows for over two decades and one that was attempted, was banned. Now it’s back in focus.
Keeping in mind the younger generation and prospects of good business, after full two decades, a fashion show was held in Agartala, the state capital. The idea was to encourage non-traditional career options and by the looks of it, it was a successful step with 60 budding models participating in the event. It was organised by Jit’s Spa Beauty Clinic who were laying down the stepping stones for a model grooming institute soon to be launched.
Models decked in Indian attires and jewellery took part in the show. Is it a potential fashion destination in the coming years? We’ll have to wait and see.
