Mirror, Mirror on the wall! Who is the fairest of them all? Koyal Rana! A beauty with brains is what it takes to receive the most coveted title of the nation for any model, which is Miss India. This year Koyal Rana has managed to make many women go green with envy by bagging the fbb Femina Miss India 2014 title title and is on her way to Miss World.
She took the spotlight early on in her teens and won MTV Scooty Miss Teen International 2008 and Miss Universal Teen in 2009. Her titles did not stop there. Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Viewer’s Choice, Miss Photogenic, Femina Miss Beauty with Purpose, Yamaha Ray Femina Miss Adventurous, Femina Miss Body Beautiful were some of the additions to the list.
She was always in the limelight taking up modelling assignments for big brands. Koyal has endorsed some of the biggest brands like Nutrogena, Garnier, Coca Cola, Pantaloons, Tata Docomo, Bhima Jewellers, etc. in the advertising world. Her big break is Femina Miss India 2014.
Koyal is much more than what meets the eye. She holds a management degree from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College (DDUC), University of Delhi. A lover of maths, she is a proud winner of a gold medal in abacus. She is sporty, which is why she bagged the title ‘Miss Fit’. She has won many an accolade in athletics & swimming. Her involvement with cultural programs of the college also is commendable.
It does not stop there. There is reason why she won the title ‘Miss Beauty with a Purpose’. Not only has she been involved in social work with NGOs, but she has co-founded an NGO called Moksha Foundation whose focus is providing medical and legal help and emergency supplies. According to Koyal, her mission for the NGO is to spread awareness on hygiene and improve sanitation conditions.
Beauty, athleticism, brains and above all a heart to uplift the community – Koyal Rana is a bundle of surprises. She is the complete package and no one can be better suited to represent India in the much awaited Miss World 2014.
