7 Bollywood celebs who gave a twist to the Dolly Parton Challenge
Social media challenges are the new wave of engagement. After the array of an Ice Bucket, Running Man, Planking, and Mannequin Challenges, a new fad is making the rounds, which takes a dig at Social Media itself.
A brainchild of Grammy award winner Dolly Parton, the social challenge nudges people to showcase how they present themselves on four different social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Tinder.
Bollywood was quick to jump on the bandwagon. Let’s look at seven Bollywood celebrities who have created waves with their own version of the #DollyPartonChallenge.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
The diva of Bollywood is always quick to participate in the newest trend (the page managed by her fan, of course 😉 ). Going with her forever perfect image, all four versions of Kareena’s social challenge have her looking flawlessly glamorous.
When everyone else is having fun, how can the king of Bollywood be left behind? Red Chilies Entertainment, the production company, established by Shahrukh Khan, posed the social challenge with different avatars of the superstar aligning with various social media platforms.
Being the young icon that she is, Alia didn’t fall behind on the challenge. Except she didn’t do it for herself. Instead, Alia made a hilarious compilation of her adorable cat, Edward. The caption says it all. It goes, “I don’t think any human being can beat this!”
Sara Ali Khan
Brace yourselves; there’s a star kid on the block. In tune with her quirky self, Sara’s version of the meme is the wackiest. Sara makes use of lots of props in her compilations.
@ApnaBhidu, Jackie Shroff, took the opportunity to promote the need to save our environment with the Go Green India Challenge, where you have to post a selfie with a plant you grow and nominate others to do the same, under the hashtag #PedLagaoCampaign #SaveEnvironment #GoGreen.
This style icon won the round by adding self-deprecating humor to the mix. Karan took a dig at trolls who make fun of his iconic pout, by posting the same picture on all four fronts. Hips don’t lie, and neither do pouts!
Need we say more? 😀
