Shweta Tiwari

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when I say Shweta Tiwari? A sexy successful bahu (daughter-in-law) on Indian television? Western-style reality shows? Controversies? Or the ₹1 crore cash prize she won in the 4th season of Bigg Boss??! Well, for me, it’s her Lijjat Papad TVC. 😉

Shri Mahila Griha Udyog Lijjat Papad is famous for its nostalgic ‘Bunny Puppet’ created by ventriloquist Ramdas Padhye, and its evergreen karram kurram… kurram karram jingle. Lijjat is the best-selling thin crisp snack of all time in the market. Below is an old Lijjat print advert.

Shweta Tiwari is already a well-known television personality, so let me keep it simple and not jabber about her personal life. She is a wonderful, multi-talented actress with a pretty, dazzling smile, and that’s all we audience care about. Shweta has won almost all kinds of TV show competitions she has participated in, be it comedy (Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur), fiction/drama (saas-bahu serials), or simply realities (Is Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao and Bigg Boss types)!

Now she is trying her hands (err… shaking her legs) in the premier dance show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6 on Colors! Shweta is also recognized for her several on-stage performances, few Bhojpuri, Punjabi and Hindi movies, and playing host on various national channels for shows like Rangoli (Doordarshan), Yatra (Star Plus), Comedy Circus and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 (Sony Entertainment). Any more artistic flairs still hidden, lady?! 😛  🙂

The oomphy and fettle Shweta Tiwari!

Shweta was born on 4 Oct in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. She did her schooling and graduation in Mumbai. She got a breakthrough in the Tellyworld at the age of 19 (serial Kaleerein). From there, it’s just history. See a list of her work on Wiki; the most celebrated soap opera being Kasautii Zindagii Kay (Star Plus). Seeing all this scintillation, who would say that she is the mother of a 12-year-old (Palak Chaudhary)! [Update: Shweta wedded Abhinav Kohli in Abhinav Kohli on 13 July 2013]

Shweta endorses/d many brands like Amul, Pears, Vardhaman Knitting Yarn, Clinic Plus (with Aashika Bhatia), J&J, Revlon, P.P. Design Estate, Nirma, Chandan Mouth Freshener, Dabur Red Toothpaste, ReeBoonn Cosmetics India, Cellone, Rakesh Masala, Dabur Hair Oil, Revlon Hair Colour, Kalazone Sarees, Surf Excel, Priya Gold Butter Bite, ImagesBazaar, Dholpur Fresh, and teleshopping marketing for Zero Addiction, Deemark Herbal Hair Oil, among others.
