"I couldn’t believe it was me when the ad went on air during IPL matches" – Manasi Rachh

Theater artists are ‘special’, rather ‘gifted’ is the word. The most amazing thing about them is their energy and self-belief to tell a story boldly and convincingly; bringing a scripted character to life, and taking audience through a roller coaster of emotions… All this action in ‘live’!
We bring to you one such incredibly talented theater artist and commercial model Manasi Rachh. Her accomplishments as an actress could be gauged by her bubbly acts on screen and histrionics on stage.
Manasi, in her mid-20s, is known for Hindi films, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge (2011) and Student of the Year (SOTY) (2012). Her talent is soon to get more recognition when she will feature alongside Naseeruddin Shah in his upcoming movie Charlie Ke Chakker Mein, scheduled for a release in October this year.
Manasi has already proven her caliber to perform raw emotions, with credible plays such as Aisa Kehte Hain, Bali aur Shambhu, Confessions, and the famous Walking to The Sun, before stepping into Bollywood!
Her lively and convincing acts could be seen in many commercials including GRT Bangle Mela, Parle Kissme, Pizza Hut, Airtel Money, Lay’s, Whisper Ultra, Myntra.com, Big TV, Onida Mobiles, Nitte University, GNIIT, Nestea, Nilaya Wines, Vadilal Flingo, Fair and Lovely, McDonalds, Kit Kat, and in the promos of UTV Bindass, 9X Media and SET Max SRK film festival.

More about Manasi in her own words, from a candid chat with IAD:
How did you get into the glam industry?
My first break came in the form of Mujhse Fraandship Karoge byYash Raj Films. I auditioned for the film and was lucky to land with the part. After I finished shooting for MFK, I started getting a few modelling assignments.
What was your first TV ad?
It was for Kit Kat with Bret Lee where he had to put mehendi on my palms. This is about 2^1/2 years back.
And experience of seeing yourself on TV for the first time?
At first I was speechless. I couldn’t believe it was me on the national channel when the ad went on air during the IPL matches. After the ad, I couldn’t stop giggling and laughing for a while. 🙂
Please tell us about your family and education?
I am born and brought up in Mumbai. I am a Media graduate and have majored in Advertising from Wilson College, Mumbai.
Would you like to share anything with the world?
Yes. For some reason, I’ve never got an opportunity before. I would really like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been so supportive, encouraging and appreciative of my work through these years. I guess I’ve been lucky!
