Maneka Gandhi: A model citizen

She is the holy grail of protecting the mute creatures i.e. animals. Animal lovers and activists around the globe and in India especially respect this woman for her bold stand in support of our four-legged friends.
So what does an ad with Maneka Gandhi promoting a bathing towel in 1973 make you say?

Apparently this beauty, before she became the Union Minister for Women and Child Development in the government of Narendra Modi, and an animal rights activist  and before she became the daughter-in-law of the most powerful political family in India Maneka Gandhi was modelling for a bathing towel ad. One of the reasons why the marriage between her and Sanjay Gandhi was a matter of conflict in the Gandhi family who were opposed to the idea.
